Car Radio
Car radios are usually fitted either to upgrade the current audio system in the car, or to enhance the audio by installing customised car radio and audio equipment.
From the original radio and cassette players, in-car radio systems have evolved to blend in with the societal changes for media usage. Many car radio systems will now incorporate a CD player, single or multi, as standard, or as an optional extra. It is now also quite common for car radio systems to be MP3 compatible. This is due to the rising phenomenon of certain brands of MP3 players and its unquestionable popularity. It is possible to tune in the MP3 to the car radio, or to use a USB device, or even an AUX input device. Recent changes have seen the introduction of Bluetooth CD players and also car radios to be USB and SD compatible too, making the range of medias from which to play music from greater than ever. Even DAB digital radio can be listened to in ones own car, meaning that listeners aren’t required to purchase a separate player to listen to radio shows that are aired on the digital airwaves.
Car radios are priced according to what they offer. Depending upon what features would be required in the car radio would very much be a determiner for its value. Obviously the more advanced the car radio would be, would mean it is worth more than a standard one. It is also not uncommon for drivers to get speakers and sound systems fitted into their cars to enhance the listening and sound quality of the car radio.
